Saw in today’s Straits Times (Sat, Oct 15 2005):
If there’s a “What’s wrong with this sentence?” kinda quiz, the above statement should be on it. Or does there exist other English Singaporean papers providing local news that I’m unaware of?
Please don’t tell me “The New Paper”. I don’t think it counts. It’s more like a tabloid then a serious newspaper if you ask me.
The Straits Times is pretty much a tabloid too. Except that it occasionally tries to pass itself off as being intellectual with a few odd pieces of op-eds.
Well perhaps they considered newspapers of other languages. It’s still an unfair comparision though.
